Graduate Student Professional Leadership Series


Attention Graduate Students!

Are you interested in improving your leadership skills? Are you looking to network with corporate professionals? This spring, consider registering for the Archer Center for Student Leadership Development’s Professional Leadership Series (“PLS”).

PLS is a non-credit course that will be held Tuesday night from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the Student Union. It will run from February 21, 2017, until April 11, 2016. The Series promotes discussion-based learning through a sequence of corporate-style seminars. This semester, PLS will focus on professional communication and provide participants with the opportunity to further develop presentation skills, networking and communicating effectively in diverse settings.

Each week a guest presenter from industry or academia will lead the class in interactive exercises designed to provide hands-on learning and skill building. The seminar topics will address issues around, communication and values; marketing your ideas; networking; formal presentations; and cross-cultural communication, among others
