About Dean Gunn

I received my bachelor's and master's degree from Eastern Illinois University. I absolutely loved my college experience. This great experience created a desire for me to work in higher education and help other students. I specifically gained an interest in working with underrepresented college students to help them achieve success. I distinctively remember faculty and staff helping me through my college experience, and I want to do that for others.

After graduation, I began working at Bradley University as the Assistant Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Over the course of three years I gained a lot of great experiences at Bradley. I hope to utilize my experience in retention and student success programming at RPI. I have a passion for building a strong rapport with students, and I'm always looking to collaborate. I have a students first mindset, and that is definitely something I plan to continue. I was born and raised in Illinois, but I am looking forward to an exciting journey at RPI!
