Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond changes lives and opens new vistas to interests, possibilities, and connections. Registration is live. Click Here!
Saturday, August 24–Wednesday, August 28
Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond (NRB) is the official continuation of the orientation program that includes adventure/team-building activities, historical/cultural programs, and community service opportunities all designed to help students get to know one another. One of the goals of NRB is to help connect all incoming students with fellow classmates while participating in interest-based activities. Another goal is to familiarize new members of our community with the Rensselaer campus, city of Troy, and surrounding areas.
For the whole day on Sunday, students will be pre-registered for a day trip activity according to their interests. Beginning Monday, we move to a more typical campus atmosphere where students and their new friends decide what they would like to participate in. All first-year students are expected to attend these programs.
The Office of First-Year Experience is seeking volunteers for its Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond (NRB) Program, held from August 24 - 28, including the overnight trips August 22 - 24. If you are interested in volunteering, please click on the link above. Email if you have any quaetions related to volunteering. The deadline to register is Friday, July 26, 2019. NOTE: Volunteering is limited to faculty, staff, alumni, and current RPI students.
